Managed Care Contract Negotiations

• Review and analyze contract terms.
• Act as liaison between hospital and payers.
• Support network-wide effort to improve contract performance and increase actual/expected revenue.
• Promote clinical programs to payers and other referral sources.
• Negotiate with case managers, insurers, managed care organizations and other agencies providing for a single point of contact.
• Coordinate contracting activity with payers and networks including review and impact analysis.

Contract Management and Implementation

• Maintain and manage all Baptist Health Care Facility managed care contracts.
• Coordinate contract implementations.
• Facilitate training programs for physicians, administrators, case managers, revenue cycle departments and practice management staff regarding managed care contracts.

Contract Compliance Audits and Payment Reimbursement Monitoring

• Assist our corporate Patient Financial Services & Revenue Integrity Departments in resolving reimbursement disputes and payment audits conducted by managed care organizations.
• Access contract performance data, identify specific revenue enhancement opportunities and renegotiate contracts to promote improved contract performance.

Baptist Health Care Corporation (BHCC) is an Integrated Healthcare Delivery System which includes Acute Care Hospitals, a Behavioral Medicine Center, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and Medical Parks which provide a variety of outpatient ancillary services such as Cardiac Testing & Rehabilitation, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Sleep Studies, Advanced Imaging Services, Laboratory services and Pharmacy service. BHCC also includes a Long Term Care Facility and Skilled Nursing Facilities in Northwest Florida and South Alabama. BHCC facilities such as Baptist Hospital & Gulf Breeze Hospital have contracts with many Plans to provide services to the communities we serve.
